Tom Clancy's End War

Tom Clancy's End War

  • Strategy for the next generation: Led by creative director Michael de Plater (Rome Total War), EndWar will redefine strategy gaming. Designed exclusively for next-gen consoles EndWar will create a theatre of war, immersing you in the drama of World War III in a way you never thought possible.
  • Fight For Your Nation: Pick a side US, Europe, Russia - the fate of the world is in your hands. If you don’t step in to save your homeland, who will?
  • Command Your Army: Grow your army into the most powerful force on the planet. Your army is completely customizable, and experience breeds strength - your units grow more powerful with every campaign you fight.
  • Light Up The City of Lights: Tom Clancy’s World War III won’t be won by capturing remote deserts or grasslands but by striking countries in the heart. Paris, Moscow, Washington D.C. will all erupt in flames as you battle your way through the fully destructive playground.
  • A Whole New Kind of Massive: EndWar will be an online multiplayer experience unlike anything you’ve ever encountered. 16 player matchups? Try hundreds. 30 minute battles? Try persistent matchups lasting for months at a time. This isn’t a skirmish, it’s World War III.
  • Talk Your Way to Victory: Put the controller aside and start shouting commands. EndWar can be played almost entirely via voice command.
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Achievments

While Wrath of the Lich King will improve many of World of Warcraft's existing features, it will also introduce plenty of brand-new ones to keep the game fresh and interesting. One of these new features is sure to suit a wide range of play styles: achievements. These self-contained goals will offer new challenges, satisfy goal-oriented players, allow others to see your accomplishments in World of Warcraft -- and are just plain fun.

World of Warcraft's achievements system will launch with more than 500 individual achievements covering every aspect of gameplay, including world exploration, PvE, PvP, professions, and character development; from the purely whimsical to the truly epic, there will be something for everyone. Some achievements come with in-game rewards such as tabards, vanity pets, and titles. All of these rewards are purely cosmetic and just for fun, but you'll certainly stand out when you proudly display them.

    Types of achievements:
    • Player-vs.-Player: This includes arena, battlegrounds, and world player-vs.-player objectives. A few examples:
      • Hot Streak: Win 10 ranked arena matches in a row.
      • Alterac Valley All-Star: Capture graveyards, towers, and kill the enemy leader all in one game.
      • City Defender: Kill 50 enemy players in your faction's capital cities.
    • Dungeons and Raids: Every end boss of every raid and dungeon in the game grants its own achievement. Future achievements in this category may include ones for completing a run without any player deaths, with fewer than the maximum number of players, or within a certain time limit.
    • Professions: Advancing to each tier of mastery in a profession earns you an achievement, and there are specific achievements for secondary skills (with major professions to follow).
    • Quests: Quest-based achievements include completing a certain number of quests and completing specific quest lines. This category contains zone-specific subcategories.
    • Events: Seasonal events such as the Midsummer Festival, the Lunar Festival, and Hallows’ End have specific achievements of their own.
    • World Exploration: You’ll earn achievements by exploring each zone in the game -- and get meta-achievements when you fully explore a continent.
    • Reputations: This set of achievements includes attaining exalted reputation with each faction in the game.
    • General: These achievements tend toward the whimsical, including getting a shave and haircut (a new feature of Wrath of the Lich King), obtaining a certain number of tabards and vanity pets, falling from a great height, and more.

    Diablo 2

I'm really anxious for Diablo 3, and decided to try out the previous game, Diablo 2. You can download the demo for Diablo 2 Here. The demo is 141 mb and did not take very long to download or install. So far I've really enjoyed the demo and might even purchase the full game from the Blizzard store.

    Wolfenstein 3D

Just had to share these videos. You may have seen them already, but they are still funny to watch :P

    PC Problems

Last week I had a really big problem with my computer. I turned it on, and it immediately came to a black screen and said there was a disk read error. I thought it must be some sort of virus so I decided to try and salvage all the data off of my hard drive and then try to use my windows CD to get back to the last safe partition of my hard drive. Well, i had one problem. I had an SATA internal hard drive and the only thing I could think of was to take it out and put it in my old computer. The problem here is that I had no place to put the data once the hard drive was in the old computer. Then I ran out to Circuit City and bought a Western Digital 500 GB external hard drive and an Antec SATA hard drive case with a USB 2.0 interface. So I pulled my hard drive out and set it up in the Antec case. Then I plugged the case and external hard drive into the USB 2.0 ports on my old computer. Now the long and tedious task of copying all the files and folders from one hard drive to the other sat before me. This ended up taking about 5 hours. Now I was ready to take out the SATA drive and put it back in my computer. I did this and turned on the computer and guess what? This time there was no disk read error. The computer booted up normally and everything was fine. It has been working since then. It must have been an issue with the hard drive like dirt or something that got fixed when I put it in the Antec Case. What a waste of time! At least my files are backed up now.

    Diablo 3

    Photobucket

So Blizzard revealed an upcoming game, Diablo 3 about a month ago at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris. I've never played either of the previous Diablo games, let alone even heard of them. But I do enjoy some other Blizzard games such as World of Warcraft and Warcraft 3. After watching the cinematic trailer that Blizzard released and the additional 20 minute gameplay video, I can't help but think that it's going to be an awesome game. Diablo3 is of the role playing genre, set in a fantasy world brimming with peril and destruction. Players will choose a hero from one of five distinct classes, which so far include the barbarian and the witch doctor. These heroes will then fight their way through beautiful environments and intense dungeons filled with hordes of monsters and bosses. Players can gain experience and unlock new spells by defeating enemies as well as acquiring powerful loot and items. Now my only problem is that I have no idea when the game will actually be available to purchase and play. If Starcraft 2 is any indication, it could be upwards of a year.
